Inspired by the Grand Prospect Hall's historic Bavarian roots, the Brooklyn Bavarian Biergarten makes beer lovers "dreams come true" with a collection of German and New York brews, winery varietals, traditional German cuisine and American eats.

Commonly referred to as an "urban oasis" or a "lush paradise," the lush indoor/outdoor beer garden brings authentic German flavor to the heart of Park Slope. Today, the outside garden is a visual delight with lush trees, colorful flowers, a tranquil water fountain with an abundance of seating for large groups as well as tables for two. The garden can accommodate 500 people and surrounds a glass-enclosed inside area that can accommodate another 500

The interior Winter Garden looks out onto the green outdoors, allowing you to enjoy all the benefits of an outdoor beer garden, indoors! You can experience the fresh space, comfort and scenic beauty and outside feel of a Beer Garden with the warmth and versatility of a traditional indoor bar.

Founders

Chances are you've seen them in you dreams. Now Michael & Alice are making beer lovers "dreams come true" with the Brooklyn Bavarian Biergarten, a German & American beer garden and restaurant located in Park Slope. Michael and Alice Halkias are the founders of the Grand Prospect Hall, which opened up in 1982 and has become a known as a historic event space in Brooklyn.
